Telemedicine is delivering medical diagnosis and treatment over long distances, either in real time (live) or store and forward modes. In real time, a patient consults the doctor over a teleconferencing system, while the patient's data is collected and transmitted to the consulting doctor. The data transmitted includes the patient's medical history.

One can have the expect opinion regarding prognosis and another posibility as regards management of the ophthalmic problem by sending us all necessary documents ( Investigation reports and treatment charts of the previous ophthalmologist) through E-mail.

However definitive management can be done only when patient is examined in the hospital.
